If you see Gwen Stefani happy, beautiful, stylish and loving every second of her life, then you haven’t missed the transformation. Falling in love with Blake Shelton made the 55-year-old mother of three realize that she could do things differently and be better off for it.

For example, in her latest chat with Drew Barrymore on The Drew Barrymore Show, she talked about her song ‘Pretty’ and what truly inspired it.

“I was looking back in my life, at all of the photos, like physical and inner beauty of myself,” she said to Drew Barrymore. “I was thinking about eighth grade, I’m like staring in the mirror in the gym, right, like by myself going, “Am I cute? I can’t tell.’ You know when you’re trying to figure out if you are or not?”

When going through her photo archives as an adult, she made an astounding discovery; she feels “the prettiest” when she’s with Shelton. “It was right when Blake started loving me,” she revealed. “I wanted to write a song about that because when you actually feel love for the first time, they reflect you. You can see yourself in them.” True words.

Gwen Stefani – On How Meeting Blake Shelton Inspired Her To Embrace A More Feminine Style

Stefani has always been pretty vocal about all the ways loving Shelton has changed her. In a 2022 chat with Vogue about her Met Gala look, she talked about embracing her femininity more often in recent years.

“I got a call that Vera wanted me to be her date, and I was just so honored that she chose me,” Stefani recalled. “She has such a distinct thing that she does that is so feminine, and I think ever since I met my husband, that part of me has really come out in my fashion more than ever — the femininity that I didn’t really embrace for a lot of years, just because of being in a band with all guys and being on stage.”

Stefani continued, “Fashion and makeup are such an extension of our personalities and who we are at the time and who we want to be.”
So yeah, love has found a way.
