“I can’t listen to a lot of the songs because they speak so clearly to me,” Gwen told KROQ’s Klein/Ally Show on Audacy. “And it’s like, you know, you have regret and mistakes you’ve made. Most of the songs are about that.”

Some songs make her want to puke like “Ex-Girlfriend.” Even mentioning the song makes her want to “throw up in my mouth.” She goes back to her feelings when she first wrote the song. Gwen recalled the memories of the group’s heyday.

“There are lots of times when you’d be on tour during the repetitive songs, but it’s not the songs,” Gwen Stefani explained. “You’re not in the songs. You’re there with these new people every night, and they’re receiving the songs. That’s where you get the energy, and you kind of relive that moment with them.”

Gwen Stefani Wants To Give Edge

No Doubt will perform for the first time since 2015. They will headline this year’s Coachella Festival. Gwen Stefani wants to have a spontaneous and fun performance. She wants to go back to her rocker-girl roots. Gwen admitted that she was not interested in rehearsing with the band.

“I personally think that we shouldn’t even rehearse and that we should just, separately rehearse and then show up on stage and see what happens,” Gwen explained. “Just make it really ‘edgy.’ No, I think it’s gonna be fun.”

No Doubt hasn’t been in the same room together. Gwen said that the moment they will meet “face to face,” they will “just start laughing.” The group reunited via a FaceTime conversation. That’s when they announced that they should get back together and tour.
