While Diddy made news by posting a throwback picture of him and Jennifer Lopez, reminding everyone that he once dated the actress and musician, Gwyneth Paltrow would rather not be included in this narrative. The picture has since been deleted from the account, but it didn’t only make Paltrow rewind back to those days, her fans did as well. And let’s be honest, the meme was worthy to be remembered.

Gwyneth Paltrow Reacts To Throwback Meme Of Herself And Shakespeare In Love Co-star Ben Affleck

On May 28, Gwyneth Paltrow’s official Instagram account for her lifestyle company, Goop, uploaded a cute meme of her and Ben Affleck back when they were still a couple. To celebrate Gemini season, the brand posted a picture of Paltrow rolling her eyes at her then-boyfriend Affleck as he leans in for a kiss. Paltrow is labeled “Gemini szn” and Affleck is “Mercury in retrograde”. The throwback picture was captioned “Tis the season” by the account.

Gwyneth Paltrow hopped on the comment section to cutely moan, “Oh my god you guys,” in writing.

Goop followers were happy for the nostalgic moment and celebrated it. “These kill me,” one wrote, while another added, “DEAD!”

For some who can’t recall or simply don’t know about Paltrow and Affleck’s history, they started dating in 1997 following Paltrow’s split from her fiancé Brad Pitt. She and Affleck later starred in the very romantic movie Shakespeare in Love, which earned Paltrow an Oscar.

The couple also starred together in the romantic drama Bounce, later calling it quits even before the movie premiered in December 2000.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Opinion Of Ben Affleck And Jennifer Lopez Breaking Up

There was no known cause as to why Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck decided to go their separate ways at the time of their breakup, but in a 2003 interview with Diana Sawyer, the Glee alum revealed why she thought Ben Affleck couldn’t hold on to Jennifer Lopez.

“Ben makes life tough for himself. He’s got a lot of complication, and you know, he really is a great guy. So I hope he sorts himself out,” Paltrow shared.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are currently working on their romance again, and while the two stars haven’t publicly discussed the status of their relationship, it really looks like “Bennifer” is back on again and going stronger than ever.
