Hailey Bieber Says She’s Independent And Focused On Her Family With Justin Bieber

Model and businesswoman Hailey Bieber recently opened up of her family dynamics and the struggles of living in the public eye. Hailey, 27, who is expecting a baby with her American singer-songwriter husband Justin Bieber, told W magazine, “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”

Hailey Baldwin – daughter of the actor and producer Stephen Baldwin and niece of Alec, Daniel, and William Baldwin – has reflected on her childhood.

Although she has a famous family, she said that she “fairly normal childhood” and has “very fond, beautiful memories” of her early years. “Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different,” she said.

Hailey Addresses Public Criticism

The Rhode Beauty founder also addressed the public criticism and negative commentary she and Justin have faced since their marriage. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart.’ ‘They hate each other.’ ‘They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy,” she said, mocking the trolls’ hateful comments.

Even after wedding the pop star in 2018, Hailey says the criticisms still don’t “hurt any less.” “I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be,” she revealed. “But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”

Hailey also talked about how she’s apprehensive about having kids due to the negativity on social media: “I literally cry about this all the time. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child. We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe,” she said to The Sunday Times in May 2023.

Hailey – Talks About Being ‘Super Emotional’ With Pregnancy

The model also spoke about her pregnancy, saying it was “super emotional” for her at first. “I love this human so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this?” she said.

Right now, Hailey wants to make the most of her time with Justin before their baby is born. “I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us.”

Since her father Stephen Baldwin publicly asked for prayers for Hailey and Justin’s marriage, which gave rise to rumors about their relationship, Hailey’s relationship with her family has been a subject of controversy.
