For weeks, pop culture watchers have tried to figure out what caused the alleged feud between Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde. And now Olivia’s former nanny seems to have provided the answer. The nanny, identified as Erika Genaro, claimed that Florence enjoyed a fling with Harry Styles. And that alleged affair reportedly occurred just before Wilde began dating Styles, reported Page Six.

But the complications don’t stop there. Because Erika also alleged that she got the information from Olivia’s ex-boyfriend, Jason Sudeikis. And the nanny shared that Jason informed her, “Flo was f–king Harry and she had a boyfriend.”

Pugh and her boyfriend Zach Braff enjoyed a long romance. However, they then broke up. And the timeline for Florence’s allegedly fling with Harry remains unknown. But Wilde and Sudeikis denied the nanny’s previous statements. Olivia and Jason co-parent a son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6.

However, several insiders confirmed that Wilde and Pugh had clashed during filming Don’t Worry Darling. And that feud made Olivia’s role as director particularly challenging. But Florence allegedly got upset that Wilde and Styles, who also starred on the movie, hooked up on the film set.

And one source summarized the problems. “I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well,” said the insider. Because “Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry,” added the source as the reason for the clash.

As a result, Pugh reportedly declined to do her promotional tasks for the film. And the atmosphere for the movie’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival seemed noticeably icy. However, Olivia has denied feud rumors.

And according to Wilde, Pugh behaves graciously and generously as an actress. Referring to Florence, Olivia asserted, “She’s so generous in her acting in every scene. She makes everyone around her better.] Florence had a really wise comment that we didn’t sign up for a reality show.” 

Reflecting on that reference to all the attention on rumors about Harry, Olivia, and Florence, Wilde praised the other actress. “And I love that she put it that way,” she gushed. “Because it’s as though the general public feels that if you are making something that you’re selling to the public, you somehow have accepted that your life will be torn to shreds by a pack of wolves. No, that’s actually not part of the job description. Never was.” 

Olivia also got sarcastic about the spotlight on the rumors. And Wilde, who also stars in the film, emphasized, “This film is trying to ask big questions.” But the media just focused “on this sideshow over here,” added the director.
