Hayden Panettiere's Behind-The-Scenes Photo For The Upcoming Scream 6She’s finally baaaackkk! And it’s as though she never left. After 11 good years, she’s back to pick up where she left off. Hayden Panettiere once confirmed to PEOPLE that she will be returning to reprise her role as Kirby Reed in the horror movie Scream which, when she last appeared in was its season 4.

Hayden Panettiere — About The Sixth Season Of Scream

On Saturday, her co-star in the movie Jasmin Savoy Brown who played the role of Mindy Meeks-Martin in the 5th season of the movie, posted on the movie’s official account BeReel, a behind-the-scenes photo of her and Hayden inside a makeup trailer, filming for the sixth season of the movie which would be coming out sometime next year. In the picture, Hayden was holding a book slightly close to her face and smiling at the camera.

The movie will feature a lot of familiar faces who starred in the previous seasons, stars like Courtney Cox who played the role of Gale Weathers but, a major cast of the movie Neve Campbell who played the role of Sidney Prescott, and has been in the movie from the first season to the fifth season recently announced that it’s quite unfortunate that she won’t be featured in the sixth season because she is leaving the movie due to pay issues. She feels she’s worth more than the deal she’s been given for the sixth season so she is leaving.

Hayden Panettiere – Shares Her Struggles With Addiction

Last month, July 6, Hayden shared in an interview with PEOPLE that she began battling with alcohol and opioid addiction during the earlier stages of her acting career. Hayden began her acting career very early and by the time she was 11, she had already made appearances in several soap operas. Hayden said she was offered “happy pills” for the first time when she was just 15, and that she had no idea it would become a gateway to her addiction.

As her career flourished, Hayden said was able to maintain sobriety on set, but she couldn’t say the same about her time off set, and that as she got older, the urge to take it was persistent. “My saving grace is that I couldn’t be messy while on set and working,” Hayden said. “But things kept getting out of control [off set]. And as I got older, the drugs and alcohol became something I almost couldn’t live without.”

Hayden also spoke about her experiences with postpartum depression, sharing that her role as troubled country star Juliette Barnes in Nashville “hit close to home.”

Hayden’s real-life pregnancy was written in the series’ yielding scripts that centered on the difficulties that followed it. “Those were really tough years,” she said of the period after her daughter Kaya, who is now 7, was born. “I could relate to a lot of those storylines like the alcoholism and postpartum depression.” She sought treatment for depression, but her addiction hurdles remained: “I was on top of the world and I ruined it,” she said.
