Kourtney Kardashian recently appeared in a cover interview for Vanity Fair Italia in nothing but a bra and her big baby bump fully exposed. During the interview, she discussed how all her life she has always seen her body in a good way.
Kourtney Kardashian —Proud Of Her Body!
She also shared that she is so proud of her body that her kid sister Khloe once wished she had her level of confidence. “I have always loved my body. Khloé [Kardashian] always told me that she wished she had an ounce of my confidence,” said Kourtney.
She went on to reveal that back at home she walks around the house stark naked and any visitor is warned prior that Kourtney is naked.
However, despite loving her body so much, there was once a time when the “Lemme” founder felt pressured to have a certain body type like other girls her age had and that affected her a lot.
“As a teenager, I was pressured, like everyone else, to be thinner and fitter,” she said, “just as I was after having children: I was pressured to get back into shape immediately, as if there was a social expectation asking how long a woman would take to get back to how they were before.”
Kourtney who is currently pregnant with husband Travis Barker’s baby, already has three children Mason Disick, 13; Penelope Disick, 11; and Reign Disick, 8, from her previous relationship with ex Scott Disick.
Kourtney Kardashian — On Her Family Setting Beauty Standards
It’s not news how trolls criticize the Kardashian family for always setting very high beauty standards for fellow women.
Standards like having work done on any part of their body just to always look younger than their age or going the extra mile to shed off fat and weight from their body just to have that perfect figure.
During the interview, Kourtney was asked about kid sister Kyle Jenner’s recent call out of their family’s beauty standard and she replied, “If I think about it now, I understand it.” She went on to share how she had contributed to setting one of those beauty standards herself.
“I have participated in covers with that tone, like, ‘Look how quickly she got back into shape.’ Today, I think that idea is unhealthy, because every woman’s body is different.” The Poosh mogul also revealed that after Mason’s birth, she decided to put a stop to all that and allow her body to do it at its pace.
“After my third child, I refused to do them. I took my time, but I had already started a wellness journey during pregnancy and after the birth of Penelope, I wanted to convey a more positive message, without rushing anyone, least of all myself.”
She continued, “I remember at the time, I couldn’t wait to start training because it made me feel good in terms of mental health. I had a lot of anxiety at the time, I was separating from the father of my children, and training really helped me.”
She also gave a shout-out to her current pregnancy and how it helped boost her confidence. “Feeling life grow inside me is a truly special and incredible experience. It’s like a superpower, but at the same time, it’s a very vulnerable time, and I think when you’re vulnerable, your truest self is even more powerful.”
