Hilaria Baldwin Stands By Husband Alec Baldwin In ‘Rust’ Manslaughter Charge

Hilaria Baldwin recently showed support for her husband by being present at the kickoff of his involuntary manslaughter trial.

While the family are planning to launch a reality TV series with their brood, the dark clouds are not yet over.

On Tuesday July 9, Hilaria, 40, was seen entering the First Judicial District Court in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with husband Alec, 66, and his lawyer Alec Spiro. She was also accompanied by two of their seven children as they entered the court for jury selection in his trial.

The previous day, Alec appeared in court solo, and was present during the hearings on legal motions related to the involuntary manslaughter trial.

The case tackles the 2021 shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, which happened when the ’30 Rock’ actor was filming for the Western drama ‘Rust.’

Even though Alec tried his best to dismiss the charges – claiming he wasn’t aware he was handling a live firearm – judge Mary Marlowe Sommer rejected it.

The ‘Boss Baby’ voice actor did not only fatally shoot the cinematographer with what should have been a prop, but injured director Joel Souza in the high profile accident.

Apart from insisting he wasn’t made aware the weapon was live, he further claimed that he didn’t pull the trigger. If convicted, he will face up to 18 months in prison, even though he submitted a not guilty plea.

His wife and children’s support for him during his court trials comes after a source revealed that Alec wants to put up a “brave” face and attend the court proceedings alone.

“Alec wants to put on a brave face and go to the trial alone, but his family will be present to support him,” a source revealed.
