However, that trailer did more than tempt fans to view season 2. Because to attract viewers, Hulu recalled Kim’s infamous shade to other business women. Find out how the streaming service humiliated Kim below!
‘The Kardashians’ Season 2 – Bye Pete Davidson, Hello Humiliation!
Because Kim and Pete Davidson recently split, Hulu needed to find a new way to attract publicity for The Kardashians season 2 promo. And the streaming service found the solution in Kim’s rudest remarks ever. As a result, Kim felt humiliated over the backlash, noted Page Six.
And the new promo for the second season reveals Kardashian trying to get her sister Khloe Kardashian to empathize. “You saw all of the backlash on the Variety interview?” Kim asks Khloe in the trailer for The Kardashians. But Kim’s hopes of getting Khloe to empathize get dashed.
Because Khloe clearly does not want to share any of that backlash, she immediately backs off. And Kim’s sister sneers, “No one sympathizes with you.” In other words: Sorry, not sorry, sis!
Social Media Slams Kim Kardashian Telling Women To Get Off Their A*s
As Kardashian family followers may recall, the interview in Variety featured Kim’s advice to women in business. And she criticized other women for what she viewed as their lack of work. However, in the season 2 trailer, Hulu shows Kim dealing with the social media slams.
And Kardashian confesses, “I’m mortified, and I do understand why people were upset.” In the now infamous interview, the 41-year-old told women in business to “get your f–king a*s up and work.” However, Kourtney, 43, came in for her share of the backlash.
Because Kourtney repeatedly complained that she does not like to work, some fans felt that Kim should consider criticizing her sister rather than the entire world of working women. But most of the backlash hit Kim. For instance, some critics pointed out that the wife of Kanye West grew up feeling entitled.
The Kardashians Season 2 – Kim Kardashian Tries To Defend Herself
Although Hulu did not reveal everything that the second season of The Kardashians will explore, the trailer hinted that Kim will struggle to explain her comments. But that could prove challenging. For instance, Jameela Jamil spoke for many critics with her feedback. “I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion,” began Jamil. “Nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic.”
And Jamil pointed out that comparing Kim’s days to the average woman’s makes no sense. “This same 24 hours in the day s–t is a nightmare,” she noted. “99.9% of the world grew up with a VERY different 24 hours.” However, the second season of The Kardashians will go behind the scenes of the aftermath.
For example, Kardashian attempted different ways to defend herself. “Well, that statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it. It became a sound bite, really with no context,” claimed Kim. And she also addressed the fact that she often gets mocked for becoming famous. “It wasn’t a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don’t respect the work or think that they don’t work hard,” Kardashian insisted. “I know that they do. It was taken out of context, but I’m really sorry if it was received that way.”
