‘In A Quiet Place’ Spin-Off Taps ‘Stranger Things’ Star And ‘Black Panther’ Star As Lead Characters

“Stranger Things” breakout star Joseph Quinn could be joining Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o as part of the “In A Quiet Place: Day One” cast.

All We Know About “In A Quiet Place” Sequel

Joseph Quinn will get more practice running from monsters as he’s being considered to play second player to Lupita Nyong’o’s character in the upcoming “In A Quiet Place: Day One”.

Quinn gained significant fame when he starred as the “Dungeons & Dragon” loving metalhead Eddie Munson in “Stranger Things” season 4.

Once again, Quinn will be expected to survive the monsters existing in the world of “In A Quiet Place”, and this time, they’re dreadful sound sensitive aliens that arrived on Earth one day.

Deadly, though blind, they hunt and kill with sounds due to their extraordinary sense of hearing, hence the need to remain absolutely silent in order to survive their detection.

At the moment, not much is known about the upcoming addition to the “In A Quiet Place” franchise, which will reportedly act as a spinoff to the first two movies. A formal third installment of the Abbott family saga is currently under development.

The name “Day One” hints that this upcoming installment could very well focus on the very first day these monsters land on Planet Earth. That is, before most of Earth’s population was wiped out by the alien monstrosities.

The franchise is based on an original idea by John Krasinki, who has been very active and involved in the production of the movie and its sequel. He starred in and directed both “A Quiet Place” and “A Quiet Place Part II”.

He was also involved in drafting the first screenplay for the first movie, even though he later decided to go solo writing the second one.

Per a report by Deadline, Michael Sarnoski, who directed Nicolas Cage in “Pig”, has been attached to the project. It’s expected that Paramount Pictures could choose to power through with the movie’s production in order to have the movie ready for release by March next year.
