Injury Update On Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback, Patrick MahomesKansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was injured recently while playing a game. The team has been doing a great job keeping fans updated on Mahomes’ recovery, on social media, and CTS has more information on how the NFL player is doing.

How Was Quarterback Patrick Mahomes Injured?

During a game that took place on Sunday, December 15, the Chiefs faced the Cleveland Browns and scored a nice win.

Sadly, this came with a price tag attached to it as their quarterback got injured. Mahomes jumped on a pass attempt at the same time Browns defensive lineman, Dalvin Tomlinson, was set to tackle him.

Unfortunately, Mahomes’ ankle was impacted during the move. In addition, he was hit above the waist by Mike Hall Jr.

The Chiefs’ quarterback needed help from his teammates off the field and fans could see him limping as he left.

As per Fox News, the team’s head coach, Andy Reid, updated fans about Mahomes’ injury noting that his right ankle has been hurt.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes Injury Listed “Week-to-Week”

Reid also offered some good news – that the ankle was not broken, just sore. He added that Mahomes would get started on rehab, and the team will have to see how he does down the road.

Reid also stated that the Chiefs would learn more about the status of their quarterback’s condition upon more testing. Ian Rapoport, sports analyst on the social media platform, X, also provided an update on Mahomes.

He reveals in his tweet that the Chief’s quarterback’s right ankle is injured and is considered to be  , which sources say is a preliminary diagnosis.

The X post also implies that more testing is coming as of Monday (December 16) and X-rays were negative.

Sounds like the Chiefs will have to play everything by ear and see how Mahomes’ recovery comes along. As of this writing, it’s unclear how long he will be out of action. Before getting injured, the quarterback was 19-of-38 for 159 yards and had scored two touchdowns during the game.
