Pop princess Britney Spears delighted fans on Monday with the news that she’s landed a lucrative deal to write her very own memoir detailing her life’s sweet and sour story. Guess what? She’s ready to start right at the beginning.

Britney Spears – To Author A Memoir After Landing A $15 Million Book Deal

News broke on Monday that the “Toxic” singer landed a deal worth around $15 million to write a memoir. The tell-all memoir will touch on her life, her career and her family drama, some of which have been closely followed by the pop singer’s fans.

Publishing insiders revealed that Spears landed the deal with famous publishing house Simon & Schuster after a bidding war between multiple publishers. An insider claimed that “the deal is one of the biggest of all time, behind the Obamas.”

This is coming after Britney’s younger sister Jamie released a memoir of her own this January, titled “Things I Should Have Said”. Since then, Britney has been yearning to get her side of the story out into the world. The famous star, 40, previously disputed several of the things in Jamie’s book. Since nearing the end of her conservatorship, she has often called out her family members for keeping her under the conservatorship for so long in order to benefit from her.

Britney also famously refuted Jamie Lynn’s claim that she once locked them both in a room with a knife clutched in her hand, and said, “Baby, I’m scared”.

Britney tweeted: “I’ve never been around you ever with a knife or even would I ever even think to do such…only a scum person would make up such things about someone.”

On Instagram, Spears shared that she is currently sitting on a vault of stories about relatives who either ignored her cry for help or instigated the conservatorship. “Lord have mercy on my family’s souls if I ever do an interview.”

Since November when her 13-year-old conservatorship ended, documentaries highlighting her struggle with fame and bids for freedom were made, many of which she criticized.

She’s also dropped hints that she’s ready to start work on her book. In early January, she shared a photo of an old-school typewriter, which she captioned “Shall I start from THE BEGINNING???”
