Fans are wondering if Kim Kardashian is resurrecting her short-lived singing career. She worked on a new song with Babyface, which was chronicled on the Hulu series The Kardashians. Keep on reading to learn more.
Kim Kardashian’s Short-Lived Singing Career
Kim Kardashian made some interesting moves in her reality TV career. However, one of the strangest moments was when she tried to become a pop star.
In 2011, she released the single “Jam (Turn It Up) when she was involved with her ex-husband Kanye West. Over the EDM beat, she sings, “Turn me, turn me, turn me up.”
She also coos, “They playin’ my jam.” Most fans admitted that the song was difficult to listen to. Kim’s voice is so autotuned that it’s hard to tell that it’s her singing.
The music video itself also involved Kanye. It took place years before the former couple publicly dated. However, there were rumors at the time that they were romantically involved.
Kim Kardashian became an entrepreneur, billionaire, and media mogul. Back then, she wanted to be a pop star. She hoped that “Jam (Turn It Up)” would bring her into superstardom.
During a scene from the KUWTK spinoff series Kourtney And Kim Take New York, she showed up at the recording studio where she meets the producer The-Dream, who worked on Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).”
Those singles became hit songs. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for Kim. The song was written just for her but didn’t do her any wonders.
She admitted that she fell in love with the song the first moment she heard it. Of course, this pop star stint wasn’t her first time venturing outside reality TV. But, does she want to resurrect that part of her career?
Records A Song With Babyface
In the new episode of the Hulu series, Kim Kardashian headed back into the recording studio. This time, she recorded a song with Babyface. Kim sang her rendition of “Santa Baby,” as her sisters watched and heard her from the other side of the wall. One fan shared a clip of the scene with the comment, “My ears.”
Some were dead at the producer’s reaction. He responded with a resounding, “Wow” that didn’t feel reassuring. Others noted that Kim’s sexy vocals sounded dead as if she was on something. Some fans wonder if the family will come out with their own Christmas album.
