Is Selena Gomez Thinking Of Selling Her Successful Skincare Brand, Rare Beauty

Is Selena Gomez Thinking Of Selling Her Successful Skincare Brand, Rare BeautyRumors first started swirling earlier this year that Selena Gomez has finally decided to sell and part ways with Rare Beauty: the skincare company that took its name from one of her singles “Rare.”

But the 31-year-old “Only Murders in the Building” star has other plans.

Selena Gomez Is “Enjoying” Being Part of Her Brand Rare Beauty “Too Much”

Selena Gomez loves her skincare brand Rare Beauty, which incorporates makeup with positivity, a little bit too much to be parting ways with it anytime soon.

“I don’t think I’m going anywhere,” she said in conversation during the 2024 TIME100 Summit on April 24, “I am enjoying this a little too much.”

She then teased that “so many fun things [are] coming up,” and she’s just looking forward “to being a part of this.”

As the star boldly puts it, Rare Beauty “is my pride and joy.” Gomez has built her career on promoting positivity and kindness, and donates a chunk of Rare Beauty’s proceed to mental health care services through the Rare Beauty Impact Fund.

“I didn’t want to really enter the cosmetics world without a mission,” she continued. “It was actually a dream that kind of happened within this brand, and on top of it we were able to make hopefully decent products.”

The reason why she particularly understands the importance of mental health and therapy comes from her struggle with bipolar disorder, which she’s been open about.

“All these confusing things were happening,” Gomez explained. “Once I finally found the answer, it wasn’t ‘Oh, I have this problem.’ It actually made me feel better to know and understand what was happening in my mind.”

In a different interview, she shared: “I can’t believe I am where I am mentally, just because of how I took the necessary steps in order to kind of remove myself from that because it’s just not normal. I really want people to be understood and seen and heard. It’s okay to not be okay.”

Since its launch in September 2020, Rare Beauty has consistently stayed in the top five most successful celebrity beauty brands. Its initial release featured a 12-range lineup.

Rare Beauty covers all the bases by offering foundation, makeup tools and liquid lipsticks to liquid liner, blushes and more.
