This weekend, Jack Osbourne, the son of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, shared a sweet photo of his daughter Ozzy Matilda, but angry comments arrived in droves. Read on to find out why.
The Instagram Photo
In his Instagram caption, Jack Osbourne wrote, “Little Miss Ozzy already has a mischievous sparkle.” There didn’t seem to be any reason for the photograph to attract criticism.
Jack wore a hat as he held the little girl under a tree. She sucked on a finger, and in the distance, blue mountains offered an idyllic setting.
The Commenters Were Not Kind
In the comments section, many people immediately started slamming Jack. And it was all about him allegedly accusing a journalist of writing an AI article forRolling Stone.

One critic asked him, “Why did you falsely accuse a journalist of using AI to write an article?”
Then another user wrote, “Oh buddy, let’s not accuse talented journalists of using AI when they are not. Use a real source instead of an unreliable AI checker…”
What Was It All About?
Kat Tenbarge took to Blue Sky and shared a video of how she prepared her article titled “THE TATE BROTHERS’ LEGAL PROBLEMS ARE GETTING WORSE. HERE’S THE LATEST.”

In her caption, she wrote, “So I woke up this morning to find out that Ozzy Osbourne’s son made a video falsely accusing me of using AI to write a Rolling Stone article about the Tate brothers.”
When the news arrived that Jack Osbourne had called her out for using AI to write it, plenty of people were irritated. After all, she has been vocal about avoiding any AI.
On Instagram, one critic wondered, “She won’t even touch ChatGPT. Is Jack outting himself as a Tate bro supporter more the question?”
How She Proves Her Articles Are Human
In her reel, Kat showed exactly how she writes her stories in Google Docs which tracks changes. Because AI detectors constantly update their detection models, they aren’t always reliable indicators that AI was used.
Other writers sometimes save each version in WordPress, where changes can also be tracked.
Accused of Hypocrisy
LoudWire reported that “the Osbourne family may have raised a few eyebrows announcing their venture into creating an Ozzy A.I. avatar.”
That announcement made some people even angrier about Jack’s accusation that Kat used a chatbot to craft her articles.
How Did It Start?
Jack Osbourne started the controversy by releasing a video alleging Tenbarge used AI. And many people felt he was just using the opportunity to gain attention.
In her rebuttal, Kat argued that em-dashes are not necessarily a sign that AI wrote a story, and that was one thing that Jack Osbourne had decided made it a dead giveaway.
Many people responded with the fact that good journalists used em-dashes long before AI was even invented.
And even if Jack used a tool, it’s not something that remains inflexible. A recent upgrade on a popular software detector site showed that articles written just days before that were flagged as human suddenly arrived at AI-assisted.
More critics argued it was hypocritical for Jack to accuse another writer of using AI after promoting an AI recreation of his late father.
