Jack Wagner Shares His Gratitude Following His Son’s Death

Nothing in this world compares to the pain of losing a loved one, much less a young son. But Jack Wagner found strength in the kind words that friends, families and fans sent his way. Overwhelmed with gratitude, he’s sharing his appreciation for all the kindness he received from people.

Last month, the family of Harrison Wagner, 27, announced that he “ultimately lost his battle with addiction”.

On Friday, the 62-year-old actor Jack Wagner shared his first message following the tragic death of his son. In the short video, he thanked fans for their lovely and heartfelt messages.

“Thank you all so much for the love and kindness that you’ve sent,” he said in the clip filmed from an airport. “I can’t tell you how much it’s meant to me.”

John then explained the reason he’s at the airport, saying that he’s “getting ready to head up to Vancouver to start season 10 of When Calls the Heart,” which he said he was “excited and grateful” to be doing.

Before he ended the video message, he thanked his fans once again for their support, which he said helped him get through the dark times.

Harrison Wagner’s – Family Pays Tribute To The Life He Lived By Establishing Scholarship Fund In His Honor

Harrison – the son of Jack and his ex-wife, Kristina Wagner – was discovered dead in a parking lot in Los Angeles last month, per a report published by PEOPLE and obtained from the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office.

His family shared that he died after “he ultimately lost his battle with addiction” when they presented The Harrison Wagner Scholarship Fund set up to honor him, through the New Life House Recovery Community – a community of sober living facilities for men located in the Los Angeles area.

“Harrison was a bright, exuberant young man whose smile lit up any room he was in. He has left behind many men and family members who loved him deeply,” the tribute read. “We hope that Harrison’s memory will live on through this scholarship and will help other young men get help for their addiction that would not otherwise be able to afford it.”

Harrison is the youngest son of Jack and Kristina, 59. The exes also share 31-year-old son named Peter, and their marriage lasted from 1993 to 2006.
