Jada Pinkett Smith Congratulates Britney Spears For Writing A “Bad Ass” Memoir

It’s funny how Britney Spears was an icon during her time and yet her fan base never had a name that defined them, like the Swifties, the Navy, the Arianators, and so on.

Perhaps it’s because she was of an earlier generation than these stars. Perhaps it’s that they’re too broad to ever be classified.

But Britney’s fan base proved that they’re still alive and kicking, even after the bright shiny lights died down.

Now we’re left with Britney Spears, and her story may not be pretty or glamorous, and yes there were more than a few betrayals along the way, but I bet fans wouldn’t have it any other way.

One of those fans who wouldn’t have it any other way is Jada Pinkett Smith, whose own memoir “Worthy” arrived this October 17.

Jada Pinkett Smith – Gives A Shout-out To “Sweet And Supportive“ Britney Spears Ahead Of Memoir Release

It’s officially memoir season, with John Stamos, Britney Spears and Jada Pinkett Smith releasing memoirs in quick succession.

Ahead of Britney’s memoir release on October 24, Jada supported the “Toxic” singer with a sweet throwback post.

The “Gotham” actress shared a throwback video to the time her nu metal band Wicked Wisdom toured with the singer during her 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour.

“Welcome to the ‘Bad Ass Women Memoir Club,” Jada captioned the short video shared with fans on Instagram. “@britneyspears welcomed me to open for her on the Onyx tour with my band Wicked Wisdom with open arms. She was so sweet and supportive. Who knew we would be back on a different stage, sharing our journeys on the page. I can’t WAIT to read your book Britney and I’m sending you love on your pub day.”

In Britney’s memoir, we learn about how she got an abortion for Justin Timberlake, lost her virginity at the age of fourteen and was forced to work by her father, who she claimed once told her that he’s now Britney Spears.

Jada Pinkett Smith’s memoir was no less enlightening and exciting as Britney Spears, as she opened up about becoming a drug dealer when she was a teenager, her separation from husband Will Smith, and her “soul mate” Tupac.
