Jada Pinkett Smith Pens A Book About Her ‘Complicated’ Marriage

Hollywood news and updates tease that Jada Pinkett Smith will soon publish a memoir that talks about relationships and her marriage to Will Smith.

Jada Pinkett Smith rose to fame when she landed a role on the sitcom, “A Different World.” Since 2018, she cohosted a show, “Red Table Talk” alongside her daughter, Willow Smith, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris. Recently, she had a blockbuster movie titled “The Matrix: Resurrection,” in which she worked with Keanu Reeves.

During the 94th annual Academy Awards, one of the presenters, Chris Rock, made a joke about her shaved head that was due to alopecia. The mother-of-two wasn’t delighted with the statement, leading Will Smith to climb up on stage and slap the Saturday Night Live (SNL) alum in front of the crowd. A day after the incident, the “King Richard” actor posted an apology statement on his social media account for showing “unacceptable and inexcusable” behavior at the Oscars.

According to PEOPLE, the “Hawthorne” star works with Dey Street Books, an imprint of the William MorrowGroup at HarperCollins Publishers, for her upcoming memoir. It is set to release in the fall of 2023, and it talks about “two unexpected love stories, one being Jada’s complicated marriage to Will Smith, and the other being the one with herself.”

In her book, she penned about her childhood experiences, her battle with suicidal depression, and her rise to stardom. Pinkett-Smith also talked about her romance with Will Smith and her sweet motherhood adventures. Living with “speculations and false stories,” it’s time to “give the world her truth, taking readers on a journey from lost girl to a woman warrior,” says Carrie Thornton, Dey Books VP, and editorial director.

Willow Smith -Talks About Her Dad Will Smith Months After Oscars Incident

In other news, months after the infamous Oscars moment, Willow Smith expressed her thoughts about her dad. During her interview with Billboard, the popular singer talked about her Will Smith’s charming personality and finally expressed her thoughts regarding the Academy Awards incident. “I see my whole family as a human, and I love and accept them for all their humanity,” she said.

“Because of the position we find ourselves in, our humanity is sometimes not accepted, and we are expected to act in a way that is not conducive to a healthy human life and is not conducive to honesty,” she continued.
