Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s son Jaden Smith claims his mother introduced the family to the use of psychedelics. And Jaden praised the benefits. For instance, he believes that the drugs helped his relationship with his famous parents.
Find out what Jaden revealed about his mother introducing the family to psychedelics. And learn how experts responded. Get all the details below.
Jada Pinkett – Introduced Smith Clan To Psychedelics
After inviting NFL star Aaron Rodgers to become a featured speaker, the Psychedelic Science conference hosted Will Smith and Jada Pinkett’s son Jaden Smith.
And Jaden told the attendees that he believes psychedelics made him more empathetic. But Will’s and Jada’s son also claimed that the drugs helped him to become more philanthropic, reported USA Today.
And Jaden shared that psychedelics benefited the entire Smith family. But he credited Jada Pinkett for introducing the famous family to the drugs. “I think it was my mom, actually, that was really the first one to make that step for the family,” he said about Jada introducing psychedelics into the household.
However, Jaden revealed that his mother used the drugs alone for awhile. “It was just her for a really, really long time,” noted the 24-year-old. “And then eventually it just trickled and evolved and everybody found it in their own ways.” And Jaden believes that using psychedelics helped his entire family unite.
Jaden Smith – Credits Drugs For Bond With Siblings
In addition to Jaden, Will and Jada Pinkett co-parent Willow Smith, 22. Will also has another son, Trey Smith, 30. And Jaden credits using drugs for developing a strong empathy for all his siblings. “Siblings can argue so much and fight so much,” admitted the 24-year-old. “And lord knows me and my siblings have done so much of that in the past.”
However, after Jaden tried psychedelics, he experienced a change in his emotions. “But the level of love and empathy that I can feel for them inside of the (psychedelic) experiences and outside of the experiences has been something that’s profound and beautiful,” added Will and Jada’s son. And Jaden gave an example.
The 24-year-old described occasions when he and his siblings would argue. They would then share drugs as a group. And forgiveness followed. “It will actually help us to open up our minds to get out of the old ways of thinking that got us into lots of these arguments and open it up so that it just releases and makes room for you to work it out and massage it out until it’s completely gone,” Smith said.
However, experts warn that the drugs remain almost totally illegal. And they also caution that psychedelic drugs should be limited to carefully measured amounts in safe environments. But like Jaden, Lindsay Lohan, Chelsea Handler and Megan Fox have openly discussed their positive experiences with psychedelics. And sports stars including former NBA star Lamar Odom and NFL alum Kenny Stills shared they used the drugs for mental health.
