Initially, Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk promised the start of the season to feature singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe with future guests to include Ireland Baldwin and more, forgoing any mention of the controversial incident that played out on live TV. Fans across social media were surprised that the actress didn’t make mention of the incident at all as Pinkett Smith is known for her openness when it comes to almost any topic.
Prior to the star of the fifth season however, Jada Pinkett Smith decided to address the elephant in the room. The 50-year-old shared that at some point in the future of Red Table Talk, the show will address the incident that forced Will Smith to resign from the academy.

Jada Pinkett Smith – Will Smith Reportedly Checks Into Rehab
Since slapping comedian Chris Rock, who made comments about Jada Pinkett Smith’s lack of hair, Will Smith has reportedly checked into a rehabilitation center.
Per a source who spoke with The Sun, Smith has checked into a luxury retreat where he will deal with stress issues. It has been speculated that Will Smith was very defeated and sad following the incident that has banned him from attending the Oscars Ceremony for the next 10 years.
