Jamie Foxx has decided to pursue legal action for an incident that he said took place at Beverly Hills restaurant that left him with a facial injuries. The ‘Annie’ star was having a celebratory evening with family when the incident happened.
Here are the details.
Jamie Foxx Decides To Cooperate With Law Enforcement Amid Legal Action
Jamie Foxx is determined he’d get his justice against a man who threw a drinking glass at him, and to do this, he has decided to fully co-operate with the police. Foxx was reportedly having fun with some members of his family at the Mr. Chow restaurant when it happened.
According to TMZ, Foxx’s decision to pursue legal action extends beyond personal justice – he wants to make sure people know that there are consequences to these actions and perhaps this might keep it from happening to other people.
To carry out the investigation, law enforcement obtained surveillance footage from the upscale establishment, with ‘Jackass’ performer Jasper Dolphin the main focus of their interrogations, since he was present during the altercation.
At present, Dolphin, who is best known for his role in ‘Jackass Forever’ and his association with the rap collective Odd Future alongside Tyler, The Creator, is yet to be named a suspect in the investigation, but TMZ reported that the police believe his perspective will help them better understand the proceedings of the evening.
The story so far is that members of the ‘Jackass’ production team carried out an inappropriate prank on Foxx, who was having dinner with his family members, which included his daughters.
They reportedly used a laser to project an explicit image on his table, enraging Foxx, who confronted them over it and demanded they stop their juvenile behavior.
The situation got bad quickly, resulting in one of the party to hit Foxx in the face with a drinking glass. It is said that the authorities are methodically building their case to include evidences from witnesses who were present at the high-end restaurant during the altercation.
Despite the video evidence, the authorities continue to maintain discretion while they proceed with the case. They are reportedly choosing to build their investigation based on the presence of multiple witnesses and potential surveillance angles to find the individual responsible for throwing the glass.
No arrests have been made yet, and Foxx’s legal representative and Dolphin have both declined to comment on the developing situation. Regardless, sources say authorities are taking the investigation very seriously.
