And we now also know that she also does weddings just as beautifully. Taking cosplay as the theme, Jamie proudly officiated at her transgender daughter Ruby’s ceremony, reported Page Six.

The horror film actress, 63, took on the lead role as the officiant for the cosplay ceremony. And then she sat back and smiled as her daughter Ruby Guest and Ruby’s partner Kynthia exchanged vows. Ruby came out as transgender in 2020. Keeping it as private as possible, Jamie Lee lent her own backyard for the event.

Curtis turned to Twitter to gush over the event. “NEWLYWEDS! #WIFEISSWEET @Killerkittens66,” wrote Jamie Lee. And as the photo showed, the actress dressed up to reflect the cosplay theme.

Ruby’s wedding ceremony reflects just one reason that Jamie Lee Curtis’ fans adore her. The actress never holds back in sharing her emotions and participating in life. For instance, Curtis proudly posted wedding photos on her Instagram. And as shown in the pics, the happy couple followed the cosplay theme. In a caption for one photo, Jamie Lee shared, “YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP! The ONLY thing left over at the end of this entire BEAUTIFUL wedding, after everything was taken away was this f–ing BUTCHER KNIFE they cut the tiramisu wedding cake with! WIFE IS SWEET!”

In addition to Ruby, the actress and her spouse Christopher Guest co-parent their daughter Annie, 35. But Jamie Lee gets credit for her honesty about how she felt when Ruby transitioned. “Learning new terminology and words” has presented a challenge, shared Curtis. However, the actress wants to take the time needed to follow through for her daughter. 

“It’s speaking a new language,” pointed out the “Halloween: Resurrection” star. “I am new at it.” But Curtis also shared her vow to avoid faking it. For instance, she shared, “I am not someone who is pretending to know much about it. And I’m going to blow it, I’m going to make mistakes. I would like to try to avoid making big mistakes.”
