Where are all my Zoey lovers at? There’s just been some great news for fans of the “Zoey 101” show. It is going the way of the hit Nickelodeon show “iCarly”, and by that I mean it’s getting a reboot. And no, it’s not with brand new stars. Hello nostalgia!
Jamie Lynn Spears – Confirms “Zoey 102” Is In Production At Paramount
Jamie Spears recently took to Instagram to get fans excited for her upcoming Paramount+ film “Zoey 102” by sharing some special moments from the project.
“Bittersweet feels,” the actress captioned the sweet snaps featuring her, her family, friends and costars on Monday. “I truly love all of these humans. The NEW ERA of ZOEY would not exist without each and every person doing their part to create this magical experience, including our amazing fans. gonna need wayyyy more then 10 photos to include all of these wonderful people tho #ZOEY102.”
It was confirmed last month that the actress and singer will be reprising her role as Zoey Brooks in the upcoming Paramount+ film “Zoey 102”, which should premiere later this year and is currently being filmed in North Carolina. The film follows some of the main characters from the hit Nickelodeon hit series “Zoey 101” as they reunite for a wedding in the present day.
In addition to Spears, other returning stars include Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky), Sean Flynn (Chase Matthews), Matthew Underwood (Logan Reese), Christopher Massey (Michael Barret), Abby Wilde (Stacey Dillsen) and Jack Salvatore (Mark Del Figgalo).
“I’m beyond thrilled to be back alongside my PCA family and continue the story of Zoey and all the characters fans know and love,” Spears told PEOPLE in January. “As an executive producer, it’s been an exciting opportunity to work with such incredible talent as well as Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.”
Premiering in 2005 to a massive audience, the show followed the life of Zoey (Spears) as she navigated the typical teen drama after she enrolled in Pacific Coast Academy, a previously all-boys boarding school. “Zoey 101’s” fourth and final season aired in early 2008, with Spears playing the lead role from age 13 to 16.
The same year the show was cancelled, it was revealed that the then-Teen star was pregnant. However, according to her, her pregnancy had nothing to do with the show’s conclusion.
