If you’re looking to hear that Jamie Lynn Spears used harsh words to describe her big sister, Britney Spears, you better look somewhere else because that which you seek, you shall not find.
Anyways, on Saturday, the “Zoey 101” star made an appearance at the British reality TV show “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here,” and spilled some tea about Britney.
The TV presenter Fred Sirieix began his probe by taking Jamie way back by bringing up Britney and Madonna’s 2003 infamous kiss which took place after their performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The superstar shared that she watched the kiss at home but all she could think of was how her peers would react in school the next day. “They just did it. I was at home watching like, ‘Oh OK, this will be fun tomorrow at school, can’t wait,'”
Jamie went on to share that growing up she thought the world of her sister and never tolerated any bad word against her even if she felt it herself.
“Anything my sister did I always thought was the best,” said the pop superstar. “When it came to my sister, even if I felt anything, if anyone said anything I was ready to go. I was like, ‘Don’t talk about my sister, she’s the best.’”
She further shares that at that moment she convinced herself that it was a norm in this current era so Brittany kissing Madonna is nothing out of the ordinary. “And so literally I just thought — and, by the way, in today’s world it would mean nothing — but it was this iconic moment that they went with, and it happened, and it’s what they did.”
As for how their mom reacted to the infamous kiss, well, Jamie surprised everyone by saying, “My mum was like, ‘It’s artistic, she’s expressing herself.”
Jamie Lynn Spears — How Jamie Feels About Britney
Fred further asked Jamie “Who became famous first?” To which the star answered, “My sister, she’s 10 years older. She was famous since I was about 6 or 7.” After answering Fred’s question she was hit by another one from a different person.
Jamie was yet to blink following her response to Fred when fellow contestant Frankie Dettori hit her with, “Is it true you don’t get on with [Britney] now?” Well, Frankie’s question came as a result of the series of online feuds between the sisters after Britney came out of her conservatorship. In response to Frankie’s question, Jamie said, “I love my sister.”
After Britney, 41, gained her freedom from her 13-year conservatorship that ended in November 2021, Jamie, 32, released her memoir “Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out,” in 2022, she claimed in part of the book that at one time in their childhood, Britney locked them both in a room with a knife because she was “scared.”
Britney immediately debunked the tale and called her out for trying to “sell a book at my expense.”
