Jane Fonda is not going to stop being cool just because she’s got cancer. The actress is actually back in the spotlight just a few weeks after she publicly disclosed her cancer diagnosis.
She’s 84 and she’s here to stay.

In a social media post shared on September 2, the star revealed that she was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
At the time she wrote, “This is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I feel very lucky,” she shared with fans on Instagram.
She also explained that she’s been undergoing treatments for six months and fortunately, she’s responding well to the treatments so far. She promised that her health condition will not stop her from continuing her climate activism work.
“Cancer is a teacher and I’m paying attention to the lessons it holds for me. One thing it’s shown me already is the importance of community. Of growing and deepening one’s community so that we are not alone,” she continued. “And the cancer, along with my age — almost 85 — definitely teaches the importance of adapting to new realities.”
The actress also reflected that she’s probably among the lucky ones for being able to afford quality healthcare, whereas most others couldn’t.
Fast forward to Thursday, October 6, and she’s speaking on stage at the 2022 Pennsylvania Conference for Women.
Jane Fonda, as Jane Fonda often does, looked officially chic in gray pants and a belted gray and red plaid blazer, which she teamed with a white shirt.
She accessorized the look with dark gray boots, gold earrings and gold watch around her wrist.
The Pennsylvania Conference for Women describes itself as “a non-profit, non-partisan, professional and personal development event for women”, with over a hundred speakers.

After she announced her diagnosis, a source told PEOPLE that Fonda is not planning on cancelling her upcoming engagements, which includes her climate activism work, her PAC and “gearing up for the release of several films.”
“In true Jane fashion, this is hardly slowing her down,” the insider said at the time. “So far, she has been doing really well with the treatments and is feeling pretty good.”
However, this is not Fonda’s first brush with cancer, as she’s previously battled breast cancer and “had a mastectomy”.
