Jason Momoa Admits He Doesn’t Do GOOD Movies That Get Awards

Jason Momoa has wowed us with amazing performances in such movies as “Game of Thrones,” “Aquaman,” “Dune,” and “Fast X,” and still he’s yet to have his heyday at the award shows.

Maybe this is set to change with the slew of new projects he’s got lined up. Fingers crossed he plays a villain in “Fast X 2.”

Jason Momoa Wants To Try Different Things And Make Good Movies

Since breaking out with his role as Khal Drogo on the hit show “Game of Thrones,” we’ve seen Momoa sort of morph into one of those stars we’re bound to see occasionally in blockbuster movies – I mean, “Aquaman” and “Fast X?” We can agree he’s got it.

In his latest interview with Variety, the star revealed that, aside from acting, there’s actually a number of things that catches his interest.

Speaking on his unscripted series “On the Roam,” Momoa said it allows him to delve into what he loves doing. The show sees Momoa travel the country to seek out craftsmanship, art, adventure and friendship, meeting different people with an assortment of skills along the way.

“I’m not going to be able to master all of these things. I’m a solid C+ to B- at everything. But I like doing a lot of different things, and I’m not an A at one thing,” he told the outlet in the interview published Jan. 18.

“I really went after comedy. ‘SNL’ let me on twice. I tried ‘Slumberland,’ and it did OK,” Momoa recalled. “I have ‘Minecraft.’ I’m going to do another comedy-esque action thing with Dave Bautista after that. If people love this, I’d love to do a Season 2.”

“There’s some movies out there that I gotta go back to, and I’m sure if you did your homework, you’ll know what movies I gotta go back on,” Momoa said. “I’ve just never been a part of movies that — none of my movies are going to the awards. I’m not really that guy. So maybe one day it’d be nice to do one of those kinds of movies, where it’s a really, really good movie.”
