Jelly Roll Bashes X In Latest Post, Writing, “I’m Out Lol”
If you were asked to quit X like Jelly Roll just up and did, would you? Personally I think I can, if I didn’t need it for work and stuff. Okay, so country music star Jelly Roll is stronger than most of us and has said enough is enough when it comes to the X app.
While Jelly Roll’s words weren’t exactly the harshest feedback that the app has had in recent years, it was nevertheless deeply critical.
Taking to X on Sunday, Oct. 20, the star shared “This is for sure the most toxic negative app to exist ever — PERIOD. lol. This place is different man, I always heard it was the Wild West on here but man it’s insane.”
“It’s a safe place for everyone to say mean s— to each other with no consequences,” he continued, adding, “I’m out lol.”
When Musk took over several notable stars, including ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s’ Shonda Rhimes said goodbye to the former bird app. Steven King also threatened he would quit, but later didn’t, and while it seemed that Musk’s ownership would flip the app upside down, things have so far normalized for the rest of us that still carries on with it, sorta. (Still sore about the paying for verification badges thing and giving verified users more privilege, but that’s me).
Jelly Roll Quit X Minutes After Posting A Picture of Himself Posing With Jack Black
Jelly Roll’s rush to quit X would certainly come as a huge surprise to fans, especially since he was just fresh out of posting a picture that sees him posing with ‘Jumanji’ star Jack Black and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith backstage at the 2024 Rock Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 19. ‘This is crazy,’ he wrote in the caption.
He shared this post eight minutes before returning to rant about quitting the platform altogether.
