Jen Shah Spoilers – Gets Sentence Reduction After Reporting To Prison As She Promises Restitution To Victims

Per the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate database, Jen Shah, 49, is now set to be released on Aug. 30, 2028, a full year earlier than her original sentence following her report to Bryan Federal Prison Camp (FPC) last month in Bryan, Texas.
“I have spoken with my client Jen Shah over the phone this week — she is doing well and remains committed towards making her victims whole,” her rep shared in a statement to PEOPLE this Sunday. “She has initiated her payments towards restitution, and we hope to have her home as soon as possible so that she may resume life with her family and work, putting this chapter of her life behind her.”

The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” pleaded guilty last July after she was first arrested in relation to the telemarketing fraud case in March 2021. She was sentenced along with her assistant Stuart Smith, who was also involved in the long-running nationwide telemarketing fraud.

Originally, they both pled not guilty after they were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing. There is also the possibility that they were planning to launder money as well. In August 2021, Shah’s legal team tried everything possible for a judge to dismiss the case, but it was denied.

In November 2021, Smith switched his plea to guilty, and Shah followed suit during a hearing in July 2022. She was sentenced to 78 months in prison in January, after which she shortly apologized to the people her actions have hurt.
