Jennifer Aniston – Shares Her Health Worries
To sleep, perchance to dream! For “Friends” alum Jennifer Aniston, sleeping feels like an impossible dream sometimes! And the actress told People that insomnia has become a chronic problem.
But after hiding her sleep problems for decades, Jennifer finally feels ready to open up. And the actress, 53, compared going to bed “almost like walking the plank.” As a result, Aniston suffers from both sleep anxiety and insomnia.
Looking back, Jennifer thinks that her health worries began when she turned 30. And she now dreads yet another night of “counting cracks in the walls,” admitted the actress. However, Aniston also shared that her sleep disorders could have started even earlier.
“But you just don’t start to notice the effects of a lack of sleep when we’re younger because we’re so invincible,” pointed out the actress. “It began as something that I would just accept. And then all of a sudden you realize the effects of your lack of sleep and how it affects your day and your work and your mind function and your physique.”

But the “Friends” alum did experience one success. And Jennifer Aniston kicked an unhealthy habit, reported OK magazine. After years of struggling with sleepwalking, the actress managed to end that health concern.
And Jennifer shared her pride in overcoming her sleepwalking habit. But she also confessed just how bad it had become. For instance, Aniston recalled getting “woken up by house alarms going off that I’ve set off.” However, now she has stopped that problem. “And I don’t think I do that anymore — that was when I was super sleep deprived,” admitted the actress.
But Jennifer’s health improvements don’t end with kicking her sleepwalking habit. Because she turned to a physician for help, Aniston has discovered how a nighttime ritual can help. For instance, the actress puts her phone in another room. And she relaxes with yoga.
However, Jennifer did admit that her acting career makes one goal challenging. Trying to “make bedtime the same every night is challenging for us actors,” noted the star. “Because if we’re on a movie, the schedule is all over the place.” And Aniston also refuses to give up another habit. She loves sleeping in bed with all three dogs!
“It’s just too cozy when they cuddle!” gushed the actress. “It’s worth it. Especially since Chesterfield [her 1½-year-old dog] is not a puppy anymore. Now he’s just a sweet, deep sleeper. I actually envy his sleep sometimes.”
