A source said that she even found it in her to heart to completely forgive Brad Pitt after he made this touching gesture.

If you remember the beginning of the Brangelina era, you’d know that what she was put through at the time would turn somebody off someone else for a lifetime, but that’s our Aniston, always looking for ways to let go of a grudge.

According to a source speaking to US Weekly, Pitt attended Aniston’s 50th birthday and even meaningfully reached out to her when she was grieving her mother’s death in 2016.

“Brad contacted Jen after her mom died, and she was touched that he knew what a difficult time it was,” the source said, adding, “Brad wishes he’d handled the end of their marriage in a more thoughtful manner. He asked for Jen’s forgiveness a long time ago, and she gave it.”

Pitt and Aniston were married from 2000 to 2005, divorcing at the height of the former’s romance rumors with his “Mr and Mrs Smith” costar Angelina Jolie.

However, a lot has happened in the years since Aniston was made frustrated by the “messy” way Pitt chose to end their marriage.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress reflected on the highly publicized divorce with Pitt, saying, “I think it’s extremely important to forgive. Otherwise, it just builds up like toxic waste.”

“There’s nothing worse than holding a grudge. Listen, people can do unforgivable things, but you have to let it go and say, ‘Look, we’re all human beings. We make mistakes,’” she added.

At the moment, Pitt is still in court with ex Angelina Jolie for selling her part of their shared vineyard business.
