During her latest cover story interview with Allure, Jennifer Aniston touched on her infertility struggles and how she turned to IVF for a chance to conceive. Justin Theroux, who she was married to from 2015 to 2017, publicly supported her after she bared her heart for the first time regarding why she doesn’t have kids.
She also called out fans who assumed she didn’t have a baby because she was “selfish” and chose her career over having children. When in reality, she was doing everything she could to conceive.
There’s a lesson here, people; if you don’t know somebody’s life story, keep out of their life story.
“Her Dogs Are Her Kids”, Jennifer Aniston Insider Says
For some of us who felt bad about the sad, and somehow uplifting, story that Aniston told about her journey to having a child and how she failed to do so before her time ran out, we should not be. At least not for the 53-year-old actress who is busy leading a fulfilling life.
A close source revealed that she is in fact “really happy right now.”
“She’s always been happy, though,” the insider explains. “Her dogs are her kids to her and why she’s always had them. Her IVF journey was private and hers, and those close to her knew but never asked.”
The source adds: “But she’s at peace and is very happy in her life. She’s in a great place, and she knows that. Kids or no kids, it didn’t change her.”
Another insider added that she’s moved on: “She’s 53 now and knows the [children] ship has sailed, so why not?”
Jennifer Aniston – On Her IVF Journey That Saw Her Try “Everything”
Jennifer Aniston hasn’t got anything to hide, at least not anymore. The “Bounty Hunter” star spoke up, for the very first time, about the years she spent on “the baby-making road”.
“I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road,” Aniston told the outlet. “All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard,” she noted. “I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would have given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it.”
However, she revealed that she’s finally found peace because she knows that her time is past and there’s nothing to keep hoping for.
“Here I am today. The ship has sailed,” she said, adding, “I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”
