Jennifer Aniston continues to miss her father, Days Of Our Lives star John Aniston. But several months after the soap opera star’s death, Jennifer feels ready to reveal how she has changed since his passing. Aniston first played Eric Richards on Days Of Our Lives in 1970.

And he then took on the role of Victor Kiriakis in 1985. In addition to starring in that role for decades, Aniston starred in TV shows ranging from Mad Men to The West Wing and Gilmore Girls. Beloved Friends star Jennifer Aniston lost her mother, Nancy Dow, in 2016 following a lengthy llness. And in November, the actress shared about the passing of her father, John Aniston. But in the wake of the Days Of Our Lives star’s death, Jennifer told USA Today that her losses changed her own views on health.

“God bless my parents who are no longer with us,” reflected the Friends star. “But they were not the specimens of health.” And though her father “still lived to be 89 years old, shockingly,” Jennifer credited the Days Of Our Lives star’s longevity to “stubborn Greek genes.” Born Yannis Anastassakis in Crete, Greece, John Aniston emigrated with his family to Pennsylvania as a child.

But Jennifer shared that she noticed her mother’s and father’s health issues increase through the years. And that made her recognize the value of fitness and health. As a result, the Friends star claims she thinks she worked as a physician in a past life.

Jennifer Aniston – Focuses On Health

Because the Friends star stays so obsessed about health topics, she admitted her friends gave her a nickname. “My friends call me Dr. Aniston,” shared Jennifer. “Because I’m always up on the newest technology.” And the actress also constantly explores how she can improve her health “in any way” possible. 

However, while Jennifer feels her parents’ health problems impacted her own life, she also recently shared how much she loved her father John Aniston. And on social media, the Friends star posted a loving tribute to the Days Of Our Lives star. “You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew,” wrote Jennifer.

And she expressed gratitude that her “sweet papa went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain.” Because Aniston served in the United States Navy, his daughter shared that he managed “perfect timing” by passing on Veterans Day, “11/11. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now,” revealed Jennifer. And she promised, “I’ll love you till the end of time. Don’t forget to visit.”
