As a result, the 49-year-old actor and 52-year-old singer/actress have agreed to keep “an engagement on the table as an ongoing conversation.”

Ever since renewing their romance in 2021, Jennifer and Ben have looked back at what went wrong. For instance, the lovebirds have analyzed why they cancelled their first engagement in 2004. But now the two recognize that communicating has become essential, added the insider.

“They actively talk about what didn’t work in the past and use those experiences to strengthen their relationship now, for the future and for the sake of themselves and their families,” explained the source. And both Jen and Ben have made a commitment to keeping their relationship “healthy, everlasting.”
