Jennifer Garner Reportedly In Talks To Appear In Ben Affleck-led Drama “Animals”

Ben Affleck’s long-time friend and frequent co-star Matt Damon is already attached to the project. Now, rumors say Jennifer Garner is being eyed to play a major character in the movie.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s collaboration days are yet to be over, as the latter is being considered for an important role in Affleck’s upcoming Netflix crime thriller, “Animals.”

The Oscar-winning filmmaker and the actress were married for thirteen years and share three children together.

Affleck will be directing the feature film, which has already cast Damon in a leading role. The “Bourne” actor will also be acting as a producer on the project via he and Affleck’s Artists Equity banner, along with the company’s Dani Bernfeld.

Others attached to produce the project are Brad Weston and Collin Creighton via their MakeReady shingle.

There’s still several pieces of the movie currently being put together, including Garner’s deal, and if things go as smoothly as expected, cameras could start moving into the Los Angeles location of the shoot as early as March.

All We Know About Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Upcoming Feature Film “Animals” The script is originally written by Connor McIntyre, with Bill Ray providing the final revisions.

“Animals” follows a mayoral candidate and his wife whose son is kidnapped, as he navigates the treacherous waters of finding friends in the midst of enemies, political and otherwise. Having no one to trust, the couple decide to get their hands dirty in order to get their son home safely.

If Garner’s deal goes through, she’ll play the wife opposite Damon, who is playing the candidate.

While this is not the first time Garner and Affleck have worked together – they worked on multiple projects before their marriage in 2005: 2001’s “Pearl Harbor,” 2003’s “Daredevil,” and that movie’s spinoff, “Elektra,” released in 2005 – she’s yet to be directed by Affleck.

Plus things will be interesting, because this will be the first time they’ll be working together since their divorce in 2018.

Affleck’s new wife, Jennifer Lopez, has expressed her desire to work with him on a movie, following 2003’s “Gigli” and 2004’s “Jersey Girl.”
