Jennifer Gates Marries Asian Equestrian Nayel Nassar
The eldest daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda Gates married long-time love Nayel Nassar, 30, in Westchester County this weekend.
A source previously told PEOPLE that it “will be a big wedding. They both seem very excited about their wedding week.”
The couple exchanged vows in an intimate Muslim ceremony on the Gates’ estate in North Salem, New York, according to the Daily Mail.
The initial exclusive ceremony was held ahead of their Saturday wedding and reception at the same location, which boasts more than 300 invitees on the guest list. Coldplay and singer Harry Hudson performed at the ceremony.
Jennifer, who is an equestrian and is currently studying medicine in New York City, dazzled in a long-sleeved lace dress custom designed by Vera Wang for her Saturday nuptials. She was reportedly walked down the aisle by both her parents, who announced their divorce earlier this year after 27 years of marriage.
Last month, Jennifer’s mom Melinda Gates threw her a bridal shower, which she shared on Instagram, captioning the post: “Thank you for this incredibly special celebration, @melindafrenchgates. So deeply grateful for all the amazing women in my life who advise, support, and uplift me. [Cheers] to this new chapter!”
