Fans flooded to watch Jennifer Lawrence in Hunger Games. And her quickly growing fandom turned the actress into a superstar. But as she looks back, Lawrence feels that she lost control, noted Page Six.

Now 32, Jennifer recalled how she began her film career in 2012 with the Hunger Games franchise. But as her career grew, Lawrence began to depend on group decisions rather than choosing her own desires. And the actress’ Oscar win added to that feeling that she had no control over her own life.

“Between ‘The Hunger Games’ coming out and winning the Oscar, I became such a commodity that I felt like every decision was a big, big group decision,” explained Jennifer. After participating in the movie’s record-breaking success at the box office, Lawrence starred with Bradley Cooper in the David O. Russell movie “Silver Linings Playbook.” As a result, the actress won her first Oscar in 2013.

But when the actress reflects on the impact of winning an Academy Award at 22, she admits feeling bewildered. And as Jennifer looks back, she feels that she never fully grasped the meaning. “When I reflect now, I can’t think of those following years, [because there was] just a loss of control,” explained Lawrence. “I keep thinking ‘when will it hit me?’ I don’t think it ever will.”

However, now that she has reached her 30s, Jennifer has taken back control of her life. And she shared that both professionally and personally, she enjoys a new sense of identity. As a result, “it feels personal for me [for] the first time in a long time,” added the actress. 

One significant change concerns Lawrence’s shift from dating to marriage. And in 2019, the actress tied the knot with New York City gallerist Cooke Maroney. In February, Jennifer marked another milestone in her life by becoming a mother. She and her husband welcomed a baby boy. 

Lawrence also shared her views on whether becoming a mother will change how she acts. “I have had a pretty consistent theme in all my movies since I was 18,” pointed out the actress. “I’m curious if, now that I’m older and I have a baby, I’ll finally break out of that.”
