What? Are fans finally going to be getting that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez reunion that they’ve been buzzing about since, well, since the two stars split up?

News of a reunion started spilling not long after Lopez and her latest partner Alex Rodriguez decided to amicably go their separate ways after being in a relationship for four years. Apart from sightings and all, these two stars are single and available, and, maybe fans could be getting ahead of themselves, but they are kinda available to each other.

They are the supercouple who popularized the term Bennifer, which eventually made its way into urban dictionaries and neologism dictionaries and started a trend for celebrity couples to be referred to by the combination of their first names. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck broke up in 2004, calling off their engagement, with Lopez proclaiming that the split was her first real heartbreak.

Is this a November 2002 moment or is the “secret vacation” just a secret vacation? After all these years, there just might be something there after all.

Sources Say The Exes Are Spending More Time Together

It has been over a week since the former couple was spotted in Lopez’s Los Angeles home in late April which first gave rise to the rumors that the two might be getting back together soon. Later, Lopez, 51, and Affleck, 48 were spotted in Montana. Sources disclosed that the two were pictured riding in a car together near a resort in Big Sky, where Affleck has a home. He was reportedly seen behind the wheel with Lopez in the passenger seat.

Multiple sources confirm that though the exes’ relationship started friendly, it has grown from that.

According to E! a Jennifer Lopez Insider said that the two have been talking to each other from time to time since their split over the years. “Ben reached out to her to see how she was doing [after her Alex Rodriguez breakup] and they had dinner together a few times within this last month. It’s natural between them and the chemistry is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other’s company right now.”

PEOPLE reported on the vacation, citing a source that reached out to them with the news. “[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It’s all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy.” The pair were later seen arriving back in L.A. on Saturday on a private jet.

While PEOPLE, E!, TMZ, and other media outlets haven’t actually jumped to the conclusion that these two former flames have reignited again and were dating, but they did not deny the possibility either, and both Lopez and Affleck’s fans have let their fancies fly.

According to TMZ, they were seen by a source in Montana who believed that “they seemed very much like a couple.” Prior to the Montana sighting, Affleck and Lopez both took part in the VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World which aired on Saturday.

Furthermore, the source in contact with PEOPLE believes that the pair would be spending more time together in the future.

Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Speaking About Each Other

Although the couple ultimately called off their engagement in 2004 and went their separate ways, they have pretty much been in touch since according to multiple sources.

Last month, Affleck commented on Lopez’s familiar glow when the mother of two graced the cover of InStyle’s May Beauty Issue. “Why do you look the same as you did in 2003 and it kind of looks like I’m in my 40s … at best?” he joked as Lopez later told the magazine: “I don’t have any [beauty] secrets except JLo Beauty — and I’m giving them all to everyone with every product. Ben is funny! He still looks pretty good too.”

Affleck recently spoke about Lopez in InStyle’s May 2021 Cover Story on her. “I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts,” Affleck said of his ex and Gigli co-star. “She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.”

The two also celebrated mother’s day gushing about their families, with Ben Affleck speaking about his appreciation for ex-wife Jennifer Garner and the three kids he has with her and Jennifer Lopez sharing photos of her 13-year-old twins, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
