Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck’s Divorced Allegedly Triggered By Fears Of Relapse

As per a report by the Daily Mail, the launch of Jennifer Lopez’s alcohol brand could’ve played a role in her rumored divorce. The article claims Ben Affleck was “devastated” when his wife decided to launch the Delola cocktail line, despite earlier reports revealing he initially supported this.

Ben Affleck – Is A Recovering Alcoholic

The report notes that Affleck’s negative feelings around Lopez’s alcohol brand were because he’s a recovering alcoholic. Mix this in with Lopez’s alleged need to expand her finances, despite the history Ben has with alcohol, and it became a recipe for disaster for the couple.

A friend of Affleck’s tells the Daily Mail that “Ben had to fight to get his life back after overcoming alcohol. Knowing how he lost everything including the love of his family, knowing that he could possibly relapse, Jen decided to start her own spritzer line for more money, as if she did not have enough. This was one of the things that broke the camel’s back. But Ben saved his sobriety.”

Being in and out of rehab for his drinking, and his actions while being an alcoholic, was a huge factor around why things with Jennifer Garner didn’t work out. Lopez’s new alcohol brand and the promotion of it didn’t help things.

Are Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez Getting A Divorce?

As per the Daily Mail, Bennifer is waiting until the summer ends to file their divorce. Reports indicate that Affleck has already moved out of their marital home.

A source notes, the two are waiting for the “right time” to announce their divorce. When that time comes, they plan to release a joint statement outlining the love they share and how they fought to work through things but couldn’t.

The source goes on to say that Affleck was the one who wanted to end things and Jennifer had him thinking she was the same person he fell in love with the first time around. The source adds, “He doesn’t like the celebrity red carpet thing, but he did it because she loved it. Her obsession with fame became too much for him.”
