Jennifer Lopez Quietly Cancels Seven Concerts From Tour For This Reason

Jennifer Lopez will soon be embarking on her first concert in five years and while the tour already started out congested – I mean, as opposed to a fully blown out world tour – she’s slashing more dates.

After cancelling the last seven shows from her tour as a result of “logistical” errors, her North American “This is Me…Now” tour will now be rounding up in NYC.

Tours have been cancelled often enough, but usually the stars behind the cancellation strive to provide a worthwhile explanation to fans who are already ticket holders and who will, no doubt, be disappointed by the news.

Usually, they’re doing it for health reasons; physical, mental or otherwise. But when the fans that have already bought tickets for the “Hypnotico” superstar’s trek in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston – August 20 to August 31 – received their notification, it came with no explanation or excuses.

In the same way, each of the shows’ Ticketmaster page was pulled down with only these words to serve as an explanation: “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.”

Lopez and Live Nation are yet to respond to the media’s call for comments, but EW stated that a “logistical issue through the promoter” led to the cancellations.

This means that the cancelled dates could be re-added at a later date once the confusion is cleared, but for now, it was reportedly cancelled to make sure customers got their money back.

Lopez recently released her “This Is Me…Now” album on Feb. 16, complete with songs that were inspired by her second chance love story with Ben Affleck. In fact, the love letters shared between the two years ago formed the backbone of the entire record.

Alongside the record, Lopez also dropped the documentary “Greatest Love Story Never Told,” which explored her failed romances and the magic behind her reunion with Ben Affleck.

She invited many of her famous friends to be a part of it, with most turning the opportunity down due to conflicting schedules.
