Jennifer Lopez Realized That Her Second Chance Love Story With Ben Affleck Is Far From Being A Fairytale

When Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got back together in 2021, Lopez was ready to cry about the perfection of finding love again in the arms of an old one.

She even made an album and a documentary to showcase it, and talked about it in several interviews. In a 2022 PEOPLE interview, she gushed about her romance with Affleck, “I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him.”

However, these days, a source is saying that she’s not so sure what she saw as perfect is indeed perfect.

Jennifer Lopez once told us through a song that nobody wants to be the one breaking up. She was right then and she is still right even now. When fractures started appearing in Bennifer 2.0, all fans could think about was how they called it.

They forget that even though their marriage is allegedly strained at the moment, it was once beautiful and special to the two of them, and yes, “nobody wants to be the one breaking up.” So maybe some sympathy, I don’t know, would suffice?

Anyway, according to an insider, Lopez is tired of being the punching bag for Affleck fans, who want to blame it all on her being a diva.

“She wants her fans to see she’s nothing like she’s being portrayed by Team Ben in this breakup,” an In Touch source shared. “When the dust settles and the divorce is final, she’ll get back out on the dating scene and find a new man. The more time goes by, the more she’s healing and realizing that things with Ben weren’t nearly as perfect as she tried to pretend they were.”

For all those fans who think Lopez is just hard to love, the insider wants you to remember Affleck isn’t all sunshine either.

“As charming as Ben can be, he also has a pretty miserable side, which is something Jennifer endured a lot of the time when the cameras were off,” they continued. “She never wanted the marriage to end, but the more she reflects, the more she realizes she was the one doing all the work, constantly trying to lift his moods and make everything perfect for him. Truth be told, she’s so much better off without him.”

Lopez once described her second-chance romance with Affleck as “happy and healthy,” so even amid rumors of a divorce, I believe they both deserve to go through this without public opinions further tearing them down.
