Jeremy Renner Calls Returning To Work On Mayor of Kingstown Arduous

After recovering from a fatal snowplow accident which took place in January 2023, Jeremy Renner is taking returning to work in his stride.

Though he does suffer some difficulties on set, it’s usually alright at the end of the day because he gets to be back doing a job he finds exciting.

Jeremy Renner Is “A Little Bit Scared” To Be Back At Work Following Traumatizing Recovery

Jeremy Renner is back on his first project since his life-threatening snowplow accident put him out of action for several weeks.

However, Renner put in the work to make his recovery a speedy one, but he obviously still feels the effects of that accident, to the extent his return to work wasn’t completely a jolly one for the “Avengers” actor.

While on the set of his recent Super Bowl ad for Silk, Renner talked to PEOPLE about his experience returning to work.

“I don’t know if I’m looking forward to it. Again, I try to just do everything kind of step by step here. That’s one foot in front of the other one. Then you’re walking,” he said about coping with return to work following his accident.

“I think I’m excited when I’m there and I get in a rhythm there. I’m excited about the character and, of course, all the people involved and all that in the storyline, but for me, I’m just tentative of confidence in work,” he added.

The star did admit that the show is “arduous” due to its 14 and 18-hour work days “in the freezing cold outside in Pittsburgh.”

On top of all this, his health was another factor that was making work incredibly hard. His health adds more stress to his situation since it makes him more fearful of “slipping and falling” due to not trusting that his “lower body strength” was back to normal.

However, this didn’t dampen his excitement to be back.

On Jan. 10, Renner returned to set for the first time to start the filming of his crime show “Mayor of Kingstown.” At the time, he shared that he was “nervous” to return with fans on Instagram.

“Hope this works out that I can ACTUALLY pull this off for our production and more importantly the fans @mayorofkingstown @paramountplus,” he wrote in the caption.
