Jeremy Renner Reveals Friendship With Marvel Co-Stars Is Not Just For Instagram

Jeremy Renner Reveals Friendship With Marvel Co-Stars Is Not Just For InstagramJeremy Renner’s road to recovery after his snowplow accident in January 2023 saw him get visits, well wishes and encouragement from many of his Marvel co-stars. During the lowest time of his life, his film buddies were there beside him, and in a latest interview, the star revealed that their friendship was not all for show.

Jeremy Renner – Opens Up About Beautiful Relationship He Shares With Marvel Co-stars

“The friends that wear costumes together, stick together” should be the new saying. We may see Renner having fun with his Marvel pals Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and the rest of them and think, oh that’s just for social media. Renner wants you to know that it’s not, and he 100% loves spending time with them.

“Oh, f*** yeah, it’s a real thing—it’s not just for Instagram. We f***n’ hate that sh**,” Renner told Men’s Health in latest interview.

“No, we have a family chat and have for a long time. When you work with people—look, we all went through a culturally significant experience together.”

Renner continued, “And there’s divorces and marriages and babies; a lot of stuff happened in these 12 years.

In the films, we look like we’re at a costume party, and there’s ridiculous props and we’re doing these ridiculous things, but it’s also beautiful because we’re all connected.”

The ‘Avengers’ star said, “There’s a brotherhood or sisterhood or whatever the heck you want to call it. I just call it love. I love every one of them. I’d rather go to jail with [Robert] Downey [Jr.] than go do something amazing by myself. I’d rather get in a car crash with [Chris] Evans.”

Since his snowplow accident, Renner has been pretty open about his road to recovery – and it was fun hearing all the amazing ways his Marvel co-stars-turned-friends contributed to his progress.

However, even though he put in a lot of work toward his recovery, he did admit that it’s made him rethink the number of roles he’s willing to take on.

“I just don’t have the energy for it. I don’t have the fuel,” Renner previously said on the Smartless podcast, hosted by Will Arnett, Sean Hayes, and Jason Bateman. “I have so much fuel to put into this reality, this body, all this stuff.

I can’t just go play make-believe right now. Because that takes a lot of time to get right here every day just so I can have a positive thought, so I can progress, so I can always keep growing.”

But I’m sure that should we ever need Hawkeye again, he’ll be more than happy to return.
