Jerry Seinfeld Says Working With Hugh Grant Is “Horrible”

Is Jerry Seinfeld talking about the same Hugh Grant we all know? The Hugh Grant of “Paddington Bear,” “Dungeons and Dragons” and “Wonka?” The guy who could make a villain seem fun and even lovable?

Yeah, I thought we’d all secretly agreed that Hugh Grant can do no wrong? Well, here’s Jerry Seinfeld with a pin to burst our bubbles.

Jerry Seinfeld – Says Hugh Grant Issues This Early Warning Before Working With Someone

Jerry Seinfeld and Hugh Grant recently reunited on the set of Netflix’s upcoming movie, “Unfrosted,” which will make its premiere on May 3, and let me tell you, the sparks flew.

Jerry Seinfeld Says Working With Hugh Grant Is “Horrible”

In his latest interview with Jimmy Fallon, the star claimed that Grant, who plays Frosties mascot Tony the Tiger in the movie, made filming hard and “horrible.”

However, he did admit that Grant forewarned him on what their working relationship was going to be like from the get-go.

Jerry said: “We had lots of fights. He’s a pain in the a** to work with. He’s horrible. He tells you before you work with him: ‘You’re gonna hate this.’ And he’s so right.”

But you know, hating working with Grant is a totally different thing to hating Grant. And even Jerry, despite the ill treatments on set, agrees that “he’s so cool.”

“We shot for 10 weeks, and that night that he and I had dinner – and we got drunk having dinner – that was the greatest night. Because he’s so cool, and he’s that English thing, you know, that witty. He looks good in a jacket … he’s one of those guys. I love those guys,” Jerry recalled.

He also revealed that Grant wasn’t his first choice to play the movie. In fact, Grant wasn’t even considered at all.

“I did not think of Hugh Grant for the part. I imagined a frustrated Shakespearean actor who has to play this embarrassing character to make his car payments. But he called us and he said: ‘I want to be in the Pop-Tart movie.’ So I got the script and auditioned on my phone,” Jerry shared.

All’s well that end’s well I guess.
