Jodin Sweetin Is Not Happy Her New Show Was Sold To Former Costar Candace Cameron Bure’s Network

Jodin Sweetin is not happy that a movie she put so much time and work on has been sold to a network that does not support what she stands for.

As you already know from the big controversy that swept Candace Cameron Bure‘s Great American Family, the network focuses on projects that focus on “traditional marriage.”

This means that it won’t produce shows and movies that are based on gay or bisexual love. Multiple stars, including former Nickelodeon star Jojo Siwa, spoke up against it at the time. But Sweetin is obviously yet to get over it.

Sweetin, who appeared alongside Candace Cameron Bure in “Full House,” is not happy to hear that “Craft Me A Romance,” a new movie she features on, is heading to Great American Family, and she wants to clarify that it is doing so without her consent.

“Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in, nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold,” S

weetin shared in an Aug. 11 statement to PEOPLE, shortly after it was revealed as one of the scheduled projects to air as part of the network’s autumn line up. “So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it in the press yesterday that the independent film I worked on over a year ago was sold to Great American Family.”

Subtly citicizing the network, she added, “I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations.”

Also starring Brent Bailey, “Craft Me a Romance,” focuses on a small-town arts supply store owner whose business is on the skids and who is being pressured to sell it to a competitor. The movie is set to premiere on Great American Family this Sept. 16.
