Joe Buck Lands Jeopardy Gig

Joe Buck Since Alex Trebek’s death, the revolving host doors on Jeopardy! have been almost as entertaining as the game show itself.  Now, we can add Joe Buck to the lengthy list of 2021 Jeopardy! hosts.

We have the likes of Green Bay Packers, Katie Couric, Bill Whitaker, Mayim Bialik, Dr. Oz, Savannah Guthrie, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta gracing our screens every two weeks for each episode of Jeopardy!. You can tell that these hosts are not just mere anchors, they sweep you off your feet anytime they take the podium to anchor any TV show.

Joe Buck  News – About the Recent Guest Host Of Jeopardy

For a start, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was the last guest host that anchored the Jeopardy game show. He recently concluded his two-week stint as host (spanning from April 5 to April 18, 2021). On Saturday, April 17, 2021, the New York Post published news that sports announcer Joe Buck will host Jeopardy! at a later date scheduled this mid-summer.

About Joe Buck

Joe Buck has been the World Series announcer on Fox Sports for over two decades calling the week’s spotlight game each Sunday alongside Troy Aikman. Good to hear, he will be shuttling his talents between the worlds of sports and the world of television game shows.

Following Rodger’s replacement, Joe Buck will join a lineup of other guest hosts of the television game show including Katie Couric, Bill Whitaker, Mayim Bialik, Dr. Oz, Savannah Guthrie, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta to anchor the mid-summer series of the quiz competition.

His episode as guest host will likely kick-off at some point over the summer; all things being equal, a source confirmed. It appears he will be the show’s second sports-affiliated guest host, following Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodger.

What Happens On Jeopardy For Each Guest Appearance?

Interestingly, for each guest’s appearance in the television game show, a donation is made to a charity of their choosing – more or less, the donation is equal to the total winnings of the contestants on each episode.

At the moment, Joe Buck’s work schedule hasn’t been confirmed, and no media outlet has written how long Buck will serve in the role as guest host, but most guest hosts appeared only for two weeks in each episode.

Joe Buck’s Other Jobs

The good thing about Joe’s appearance as host for Jeopardy is that it will not interfere with his job as Fox’s voice for the NFL and MLB. He has effortlessly shuttled the World Series for the network since 1996 and Fox’s top NFL game since 2002; by default, he will conduct this new show with no conflicts whatsoever from his other jobs.

We as fans are hopeful that Joe Buck does a great job, and that he stays longer as guest host than his predecessors.
