Joe Exotic married fellow inmate Jorge Marquez in prison, and now the Netflix star has lost his husband. He seemed very much in love, and finally, he seemed to find happiness. Joe had previously been with Dillon Passage, but they divorced in 2021.

What Happened To Jorge?

Hollywood Unlocked shared the news about Jorge on the weekend. The Instagram post noted that “Jorge Marquez Flores was released from prison, only to be immediately deported to Mexico on Friday, May 16.” The outlet also reminded readers that Joe Exotic and Jorge became engaged behind bars in October last year. 

Jorge was illegally in the USA, and of course, Joe had many years to serve for his conviction after he was found guilty of plotting to kill Carole Baskin. He’d known about the possible deportation of his lover and hoped it might never happen. 

Begging For No Deportation

Celebrating the Soaps reported in March, that the Tiger King star had begged Donald Trump not to deport his love. The emotional Netflix alum expressed a strong desire for some sort of clemency. Just thinking about Jorge leaving made him despair. 

If Donald Trump couldn’t pardon Jorge, then Joe hoped he might arrange for him to transfer to a prison in Mexico, so they could still be close. Unhappily for Joe, that didn’t happen and the chances of them seeing each otehr seem minimal. He still has decades to serve behind bars. 

Unless he gets a presidential pardon, it’s not likely he will be released anytime soon. Of course, as an illegal immigrant, Jorge won’t be allowed back into the United States.

The Public Responds To The News

In the comments section, little sympathy arrived for Joe. In fact, people laughed about it. One of them wrote, “No pardon and he deported your husband. Joe, that orange man don’t like you,” adding a laughing emoji.

Another one said, “Laugh out loud for real.”
