John Legend may or may not still be a coach on “The Voice.” The “All Of Me” singer revealed to E! News correspondent Courtney Lopez that he will not be around for the 23rd season of the show. While his return date is yet to be known, Legend assured Lopez that he’ll definitely come back. “I won’t be here this season, but I’ll be back.”
Legend first worked on “The Voice” as an advisor in season 12, he later began working as a coach on the show from its season 16 which was in 2016. While Legend is unsure of his return date, one thing is sure, this upcoming season 23 will mark the end of Blake Shelton’s time as a coach on the show.
Shelton has been coaching on “The Voice” since its first premiere in 2011. Speaking about Shelton’s run on the show to E! News, Legend said, “I love Blake and just think he’s an amazing coach, but also an amazing person that I’ve really gotten to know over the years, and hopefully, we can carry on the tradition after he leaves.”
John Legend — Legend And Wife Chrissy Teigen Welcomed Their Third Child
Legend and his beautiful wife Chrissy Teigan welcomed their third child on Friday, January 13, and the couple shared the news of their latest family member with their fans through Instagram.
Their post read, “She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier . Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes – we feel it all! X.”
Legend recently shared in an interview with E! News how his older kids Luna, 6, and Miles, 4, became jealous when they found out that another baby was on the way. He said that both Luna and Miles feared that their new sister will suck up the whole love and attention their parents gives to them.
“We weren’t sure how they would take it, I felt like they were a little jealous when mommy was pregnant,” said Legend. He went on to add that their emotions changed after Esti arrived. “But as soon as Esti arrived, they’re just exploding with love and joy, and they’re so caring and loving toward her. They want to hold her, they want to kiss her and it’s really exciting.”
John Legend — Esti’s Conception Story
Last year, on August 3 to be precise, Chrissy excitedly announced that she was pregnant with another child and couldn’t wait to share the news with the world. The news came nearly two years after losing her third issue Jack in miscarriage.
Chrissy has always conceived all her children through IVF treatments but the deceased child was conceived naturally, it was just unfortunate that he was miscarried. According to the emotional post Chrissy made around September 2020 concerning the loss of her child, Chrissy revealed that they did all they could, gave pints and pints of blood to the child but still lost him due to excess bleeding.
She explained that she would have shared the news of her conception earlier but each time she tells herself that after meeting her doctor and it’s confirmed that the baby is healthy, she would share the news.
“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still, I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing.”
