John Travolta Calls Daughter Ella’s Song “Amazing”

Ella Travolta, the daughter of John Travolta and late Kelly Preston, recently followed in her famous parents’ footsteps and embraced acting as her career. Now, the 21-year-old is looking forward to venturing into the “musical territory”, and she’s doing it with the perfect song.

Ella Travolta is sharing her feelings with fans through her songs and her dad John Travolta is there to support her in her newest endeavor.

Ella shared a video of herself playing the piano and singing along to a song that she’s written this “past year”. While she was “nervous” to play the new song she’s been working on, she also wanted to know what her fans thought of it.

“There is something I’ve been working on for the past year that is very dear to my heart,” she captioned the clip. “I wanted to share a part of a song that I wrote that will be on my EP coming out next year. Very excited (and nervous). Hope you like it!”

Turns out her fans loved it, including her “thrilled” and biggest fan: John Travolta. The father of two hopped on the comments section to congratulate his daughter on her beautiful song. “I’m so very proud of you Ella, it’s amazing! Your thrilled Dad! ❤️❤️❤️,” the 67-year-old wrote.

John also shares 11-year-old son Ben with Preston, who tragically passed away after battling with cancer for two years.

In July 2020, the Travolta family lost their wife and mother at the age of 57. The couple tied the knot in 1991.

At the time of her death, a family representative reached out to PEOPLE in 2020, in a statement that said: “On the morning of July 12, 2020, Kelly Preston, adored wife and mother, passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer.”

Ella celebrates her brother and father openly – on their birthdays and father’s day and others – on her Instagram page. John previously shared with PEOPLE about how he couldn’t be prouder of his daughter, who has decided to pursue a career in acting.

“She is her own person. She is gracious, generous, poised, graceful and gorgeous. I don’t know how she came to be, and I don’t take any credit other than just adoring her,” the proud dad shared at the time. “And maybe that’s a valid contribution.”
