Johnny Depp And Amber Heard – Trial Wristbands End Up On eBay

Long for a piece of the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial action? Head to eBay to get your wish fulfilled. And the cost depends on the wristband color and other factors, according to the New York Post.

The wristbands come from Johnny Depp and Amber Heard‘s trial in the Fairfax County, Virginia courtroom. Throughout the trial, those wristbands got turned into money, thanks to scalpers. And now eBay sellers have found a way to profit as well.

The cost depends on the color, the trial day, and whether the wristband got verified. For instance, some orange wristbands cost $500. But a few blue wristbands go as high as $5,000. And some sellers have decided to negotiate rather than set a definite price.

Johnny Depp And Amber Heard – Pop Culture History Resides In Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Wristband?!

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial wristband sellers often claim the bands represent pop culture history. For instance, an orange wristband description calls the memento “priceless in that the trial is a part of pop culture history. This is a wristband that was used to enter one of the last days of the Johnny Depp Trial on Thursday, May 26, 2022,” notes the seller. “It is number 77 for number 77 in line to enter the courtroom. I am willing to negotiate.”

Others focused on the celebrity factor. For example, a blue band represented the “first day of the final week of the trial, one of the busiest days,” wrote the seller. “I was there and you are obtaining this from a verified first person source.” Giving access to the courtroom, the wristband represents “a piece of celebrity culture history.”

The wristbands went up for auction in the wake of Heard’s and Depp’s trial. The actor, 58, had sued the actress, 36, for $50 million. Depp’s lawsuit focused on Heard’s allegations of domestic abuse in her Washington Post essay. In turn, Amber counter-sued Johnny for $100 million.

The June 1 verdict resulted in an award for Depp of $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. In contrast, Heard received an award of $2 million in compensatory damages and no punitive damages. However, some reports have claimed that Amber cannot afford to pay the judgment because of legal costs and her prior spending habits.
