An insider in the industry revealed that they believe Depp “will work again,” adding, “I do feel someone will give him a chance.”
“He is very likable and very talented,” the insider said. “A studio will just have to gauge and see it worth the risk and value, but he also won public opinion. He gained a whole new fan base through this and, yes, he will be back.”
Johnny Depp — Photographed As He Sets To Film
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory alum was recently photographed in Paris where he’s set to shoot his new movie with French filmmaker Maïwenn.
Depp’s apparel when he was photographed was a tan jacket with fringe detailing and black jeans, carrying a black briefcase and accessorizing in a pair of sunglasses and a wide-brimmed brown hat. He wore his multicolored hair in multiple braids.
Depp would be playing the role of French King Louis XV in the movie, which Variety previously reported would begin filming this summer around Paris, primarily at the Palace of Versailles, and last three months. According to the outlet, Maïwenn, 46, will also star alongside Depp as Countess Jeanne du Barry, Louis XV’s final mistress.
Johnny Depp’s – Won’t Be Returning To Pirates Of The Caribbean
This extreme desire to have Johnny Depp back as Captain Jack Sparrow is so intense that the petition to bring him back has reached 700,000 signatures. Recently, there’s been rumors swirling around that Depp will be returning to the Disney franchise to resume the role of Captain Jack Sparrow after being offered the sum of $301 million.
The report which surfaces on June 27 read: “Disney is very interested in patching up their relationship with Johnny Depp,” a source told PopTopic close to four years after the actor parted ways with Disney. “They are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character.”
Looks like the Alice in Wonderland alum is a man of his words as his rep didn’t waste time in debunking the rumors stating clearly that “This is made up.”
This is so hilarious because I recall Amber Heard’s attorney Ben Rottenborn asking Depp during his defamation trial if Depp would consider returning to the franchise if he was offered $300 million, to which Depp strongly refused.
“The fact is, Mr. Depp, if Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean film? Correct?” Depp replied, “That is true, Mr. Rottenborn.”
I think the story of Depp returning after being offered $301 million is to say that since Depp won’t return at the price of $300 million, perhaps he would return at $301 million, hahahaha.
